| Carol Sue Butts, interim chancellor of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, joined the Pioneer community in 1998. She has served as provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs, with responsibility for development, implementation, and assessment of the undergraduate and graduate programs, curriculum, and policies that support the academic mission of the University. Dr. Butts' initiatives have focused on improved accountability through the development and implementation of student learning outcomes and appropriate and timely assessment, across campus. She has facilitated the development and approval of a number of new academic programs and initiated a number of annual campus-based recognition awards. Under Chancellor Butts leadership, UWP will continue to focus on the delivery of high-quality academic programs, relevant to the needs of tomorrow while stressing the importance of international educational experiences, undergraduate research and participation in arts and cultural events by all students. |
