Werner joined the firm in 1995 and her emphasis and responsibilities include small business valuation planning, individual financial planning, retirement estate planning and expert witness testimony for family law cases. WIPFLI LLP serves a variety of clients from small- and middle-market entrepreneurial companies to large companies in a variety of industries and professions. Werner is a member of several professional organizations such as the American Bar Association, Wisconsin State Bar Association and the La Crosse County Bar Association. She also is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants (WICPA) and serves as legislative liaison for the AICPA. In addition, she serves on the La Crosse Estate Planning Council. Currently, Werner is active in numerous community boards and organizations. She is a member of the Chancellor’s Advisory Committee for the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse., past chair of the board of directors for the Greater La Crosse Area Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Advisory Committee of the Girl Scouts of Distinction. She serves and has served on the boards of several organizations, including the Franciscan Spirituality Center, the Family and Children’s Center, Gateway Area Boy Scouts of America and the Gundersen Lutheran Medical Foundation. Werner graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree from Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa. She earned her law degree from Creighton University in Omaha, Neb., and was published in the Creighton Law Review.
